On August 19th, 2017, Enqbator team members Dave Vigna, Ravi Viswarju, and Sujal Raju took a break and participated in the five-kilometer “Cruise in Shoes” race. Sponsored by Enqbator’s client, Beaumont Health, the “Cruise in Shoes” took runners through the Detroit suburb, Royal Oak. All proceeds go to either the Dream Cruise or charities sponsored by Beaumont Health.
The Dream Cruise is also one of metro Detroit’s biggest events. For one week during August, the major transport hub Woodward Avenue fills with classic cars. People as far from New Hampshire, Texas, California, North Carolina and Colorado come to witness this event, a celebration of Detroit’s place in automation history.
Both the Dream Cruise and the “Cruise in Shoes” benefit the local economy and local charities alike. Businesses along Woodward Avenue see an influx of customers, while the charities sell cruise-themed merchandise and refreshment for Cruise viewers. Enqbator is proud to support and participate in both charities and local events.
